Not gonna lie, few years ago shine and glossy lip product always been my favourite. But now, I am more into matte lipstick. Maybe because of the current trend where we can see almost every lip products advertising often promote matte lipstick in the market right now. And seriously, it looks gorgeous! So, few months ago (maybe in September or October) I received two products called Velvet Matte Liquid Lip Color by Maybelline. I am so sorry, it took me so long to post up this review. I had some other things going on right now and I can see there are lots of review about the products, some really like it, and some say no to the product.

After a few times wearing this Velvet Matte Lip Color, I found it is very easy to apply. It glides very smoothly. With only one or two application, it is enough to cover my upper and lower lips. And yes it is hydrating, my lips was a bit dry when I used it, but it still look good without the dry peeled skin on the lips. How about the colour? Gosh, I really love how bright and bold it looks on my lips. I took a few pictures with this product, and I can see the colours really attract the attention and my skin looks bright and fresh for some reason. The lip colour makes everything look 'pop' even with my simple makeup.
However, the only thing that I don't quite understand is that, the product does not appear completely matte. I can feel the texture is a bit glossy and easily 'move around' and because of that, it is very hard for me to drink and eat with this product on since the colour transfer easily and I have to reapply afterwards.
